BUDGET FRIENDLY PURCHASE OPTIONS
Full Interest: Full ownership of the alpaca will be transferred to you when purchase price is paid in full. You may take possession of the alpaca when we receive proof of insurance for the full purchase price if the alpaca is financed, or when all funds have been cleared if paid in full.
Half Interest: Half interest ownership will be transferred to you when payment has been made in full. If the alpaca is to be kept at our farm we will request a small fee of $550 a year/alpaca purchased (most farms charge board fees of $3.00-$4.00/day). This fee will be applied towards purchase of hay, feed, and farm related vet supplies. You will also be asked to pay half of the insurance fee for the purchased alpaca, and half of any vet bills that may occur. If the purchased alpaca is to be shown then you will also be responsible for half of the show fees as well.
Purchase of half ownership in any Misteguay Creek Alpaca entitles you to:
Male Alpaca: ½ of all stud fees collected for the selected herdsire, ½ of the sales proceeds if both parties agree to sell the selected herdsire.
Female Alpaca: ½ of any cria sales from cria(s) born to the selected female, or ½ of the sales proceeds if both parties agree to sell the selected female.
Quarter Interest: Quarter interest ownership of a Misteguay Creek Alpaca is the best option for individuals who find the prospect of investing in alpacas interesting but: have limited start up funds; do not own a farm; or are looking for a passive income investment.
There will be no additional fees charged for board, feed, or vet bills. However, you will be asked to pay ½ of any show fees if the alpaca is to be shown (a small marketing expense for your investment).
Purchase of ¼ interest in a Misteguay Creek Alpaca entitles you to:
¼ of either the stud fees or cria sales (depending upon the gender) of the selected alpaca. You will also be given the option of keeping the proceeds as a return on your investment, or investing the proceeds towards the purchase of half/full interest in the selected alpaca. This option is by far the most cost effective way to enter into the alpaca business as it requires very little out of pocket expense.
FINANCING OPTIONS
Misteguay Creek Alpacas may offer short term (2 - 12 month) or long term (1-3 years) no interest financing depending upon the selected alpaca(s), purchase price, and down payment.
Package pricing can be discussed if you wish to purchase more than one of our alpacas, or would like to purchase a herd starter package.
