Hello All,
Dennis and I began our alpaca adventure so we would have something to talk about at the breakfast table after the kids were grown. LOL In reality it was our youngest son who started us down the road to alpaca ownership. He was watching a PBS program about alpacas one Saturday morning. Before I knew it, I was sitting next to him on the sofa. We were immediately taken by these wonderful creature and were eager to learn more about them. As the the program ended my son looked up at me with his innocent little face and said, “Mommy I want one”. I had to admit, so did I. We immediately went to the computer and began researching alpacas. A year later we purchased our first female and began convert our wonderful journey as alpaca farmers. There are currently 14 alpacas residing at Misteguay Creek Alpacas.
We are truly impressed with every aspect of the alpaca business. Alpaca farmers are the most generous and helpful people we have ever had the pleasure to meet. Many have become friends for life.
